Some job seekers arrive later
Participants may be delayed by childcare responsibilities, public transportation, work schedules, medical appointments or other personal circumstances. A later arrival should not mean fewer opportunities.

Information for participating employers
Your full participation helps create a fair, welcoming and productive hiring experience for every job seeker who walks through our doors.
Our expectation
The Chicago Urban League expects all participating employers to arrive at the facility no later than 9:30 AM. This allows time to check in, locate your assigned space, organize materials and be fully prepared before job seekers arrive. Employers are also expected to remain actively engaged through the official end of the job fair at 2:00 PM.
Why staying matters
Participants may be delayed by childcare responsibilities, public transportation, work schedules, medical appointments or other personal circumstances. A later arrival should not mean fewer opportunities.
Job seekers often research participating organizations and arrive specifically to meet certain employers. An empty table can discourage a prepared candidate and weaken their trust in the event.
Qualified applicants enter throughout the entire fair. Remaining until 2:00 PM gives your organization the best chance to meet candidates who may be an excellent fit for current or future openings.
Full participation ensures that people arriving at different times receive the same access to employer representatives, job information and meaningful conversations.
